By way of the BIOEDILIZIA we have tried to create in Gressoney - Monte Rosa, Hotel Ellex, a hotel in harmony with the environment, which will benefit the guest.
The idea was to try to use natural materials, such as stone, brick, wood, and cork, eliminating chemical products which can contaminate the internal surroundings. For example the floors in solid wood are nailed without the use of synthetic glue.
The idea is to have an environment which can breathe, to guarantee the healthiness and comfort of the guest; the roof is solid wood with natural cork as an insulator, a natural tradition with no chemical mixes.
Moreover we have wanted to respect the environment with devices that reduce consumption of renewable resources and not, such as the use of solar energy, the insulating of the building and the use of taps to reduce water consumption.
