The Monte Rosa circuit is the ideal scenario for off-piste skiing and extreme skiing: and Gressoney is the ideal point to begin to discover the steep canals, wide valleys, and deep powder which guarantee kilometres of descents in a wild environment, but which are of easy access thanks to the Monterosa Ski lifts.
Valsesia, Val d’Ayas and the Valley of Gressoney, are the three valleys of the Monterosa Ski area with the new Indren cable railway 3275mt. where for the variety of itineraries, both expert and non expert skiers can find ideal descents in fresh snow.
The Canalino dell’aquila, la Salza, the Valle Perduta, the Piramide Vincent, Punta Giordani, Punta Vittoria and the canale la Malfatta are itineraries which will inspire emotion, skiing in the high mountain environment Monterosa Ski.
Heliskiing is possible on the Monte Rosa and descents of over 4000m with breathtaking scenery.
Alagna offers even wilder terrain than Gressoney and offers the possibility of splendid excursions thanks to heliskiing.
The more demanding skiers are guaranteed to discover routes in fresh snow even in spring time.
A helicopter ride to the Colle del Lys (4200m) descends to Gressoney, along the Valle Perduta, arriving in Alagna or other frontiers with the descent to Zermatt and return to Gressoney.
